Celebrating my 50th Birthday with miles, smiles, and a new series

I’ve accused my parents of incorrect math and poor record-keeping because NO WAY am I turning 50 this week. I don’t feel 50, I don’t act 50, and my generous friends assure me I don’t look 50. But the fact remains: I’m from the same year that brought us Woodstock and the moon landing. Instead of fighting it, I’m celebrating!

I’m WAY excited to release the first book in my new Billionaire Yacht Club series this week. It’s sweet, but sexy, too. The first book is a secret baby+best friend’s sister+billionaire storyline, and I can’t wait for you to read it. The opulent three-hundred-foot yacht has everything, but its owner still needs someone to love. Now on Amazon:  A Secret Baby on the Billionaire’s Yacht: A Sweet Billionaire Romance.

This week, I ran a Christmas-themed 5K with my husband, sister, brother-in-law, and nephew. Although I have run dozens of races ranging from 5K to a full marathon, it was my husband’s first ever 5K. We had a ball in our Santa hats! Here I am with my sister, May Williams, with whom I write the Grand Hotel and Kenyon Cove romance series.

Is it time for a Vacation Love Affair?

Happy Summer, Readers! I have a new novella for you, perfectly sized for an afternoon at the beach or on the porch. If you’ve been following the Kenyon Cove series, you know you’re in for a sweet love affair in a coastal Maine town.

Here’s the story:

When Iris Parker checks into The Puffin Motel just outside Kenyon Cove, Maine, she doesn’t expect to discover she knows the owner. She has the entire month of July to recharge between jobs, but seeing Nate McDaniel takes her back six summers to a romance that ended too quickly. She’s supposed to be on vacation, but her former summer romance happens to own the quiet roadside motel where she’s staying. He’s hard to resist, but she’s not looking for love.

Nate McDaniel thought renovating a small motel was tough, but seeing Iris Parker checking in tests all his courage and defenses. Their teen romance as seasonal workers in Kenyon Cove ended when she left town without a word, and now she’s back and just as tempting as ever. Unable to resist, they both agree to a short-term affair, but can they handle a no-strings summer romance as adults and walk away at the end of July?

Available now on Amazon for just $2.99.

Have a wonderful summer!

When Olivia Cleveland buys a historic building in Bluegill, Michigan, to follow her dream of opening The True Love Yarn Shop, she discovers it comes with an unexpected guest. A handsome man is borrowing her dock so he can restore his wooden sailboat and launch a long voyage to fulfill a dream. Olivia’s previous experience with dreamers has proven that yarn is the safest place for her heart, but Max England charms her enough to keep his boat at her dock. With each summer day, Max weaves himself more into Olivia’s heart until they both wish he didn’t have to sail away. When the summer ends, will true love be waiting at the end of his journey?

What’s Amie writing now?

Dear Friends,

You may not see it yet, but I’ve been a writing machine since the ball dropped on New Year’s Eve. Here’s what 2019 has brought so far:

In January, I wrote a 70K novel for Harlequin Heartwarming. FIREFIGHTERS!!! It’s with my wonderful editor Dana now, and I’m hoping she’ll love it. I think it’s one of my most emotional books yet, and if my readers aren’t sobbing at least three times, they’re tougher than I am.

In February, I wrote a 65K cozy mystery–yes, COZY MYSTERY!! I love reading them, and I finally got brave enough to write one. I loved everything about that process, and I sure hope the publisher I sent it to loves it, too. So much fun! Could my writing tree branch into cozies alongside romances?

In March, I wrote the next novella in the Grand Hotel series from White Pine Island. This one will be called Celebration at the Grand Hotel, and one of my characters is–gasp!–a computer gamer. That’s right, he’s one of those people who designs online games that have teenagers neglecting their homework and adults letting the housekeeping go. Alas, though, if you fall in love with a gamer, how do you know if it’s the real thing? Watch for that book soon.

It’s still March, but I have begun my April project. I’m going back to the beach where I started. My early works Will Work for Love, Blue Bottle Beach, and The Gull Motel are still the books of my heart, and they were all on a beach somewhere where it’s always warm. My new one will unfold in a marina in the Florida Keys. I’m putting my heart into every word throughout the rest of March and all of April. I can’t wait to share sneak peeks with you!

Thanks for reading romance and sharing my journey!

Amie

I need a vacation

box set final

Doesn’t every woman want to be this woman? I’d like to sit down next to her on that beach and see whatever she’s seeing. I can’t help you physically escape the winter weather, but I can offer you a fictional vacation aboard the luxury cruise ship The Grand Islander. If you enjoy shipboard romance, interesting ports of call, and happy endings, I hope you’ll enjoy this boxed set which includes all four books in the Coastal Cruise Line Stories.

Champagne, anyone?

Champagne at the Grand Hotel

I’m all about Christmas, but there’s also something magical about looking beyond Christmas to the fresh start of New Year’s. Don’t skip the mistletoe, but it’s okay to indulge in some champagne early in the season, right? Champagne at the Grand Hotel opens on the day after Christmas and takes you through New Year’s and a new beginning for four lovable characters. The Grand Hotel hosts a film crew making a romance set in 1912, and the cast and crew find happy endings for themselves outside of the script.

We hope you’ll love the 8th book from White Pine Island, available now for $.99, or you can buy the entire set for $7.92.

Christmas Love Affair

Christmas in Kenyon Cove sparkle

I’m ready for the holidays! Christmas Love Affair is the third book in the Kenyon Cove series and it follows Seaside Love Affair and Summer Love Affair. So I like love affairs, all right? And I especially like them at Christmas when the lights, music, sweets, and presents make everything sparkle with joy. This new release is only $.99 along with Christmas at the Grand Hotel, One Christmas aboard the Grand Islander, and Set for New Year’s. If you’d like to get in the holiday spirit, I hope you’ll find just the right recipe in one of my novellas.

Whatever you’re reading, I hope it brings you joy, hope, and love at this wonderful time of year!

Four Reasons to board the Grand Islander

WH four reasons

This cover inflames my serious case of wanderlust. I inherited my love of going places from my parents, and I doubt I’ll ever get over it. Some people love to travel…and then there’s my family. On one memorable Easter Sunday, we were having a nice lunch at my house when an important fact came up in conversation: most people at the table had the following week off. So…as I sliced up the beautifully-iced bunny-shaped cake for dessert, a wild idea became a plan. True to her character, my mother announced that she had packed a suitcase and her luggage was in the car. Just in case. Forty minutes after someone suggested a drive to the coast and someone else got online and made reservations, eight people were seat-belted into my Suburban and we were off on a fourteen-hour drive to Virginia Beach. Just a typical Easter, right?

I love a road trip, but a cruise is even better. The Grand Islander is a luxurious small cruise ship known for elegance, personal service, and romance. Perhaps you began the series with one of the first three books, and we’re glad you’re back!  In Four Reasons to board the Grand Islander, two more members of the owning family find love on an eleven-day autumn cruise up the New England coast. As they visit charming ports of call such as Bar Harbor, Maine, and Martha’s Vineyard, four hearts are forever changed by a lovely cruise on the Grand Islander. Please come along!
